How We Write

One of the biggest questions that we get is: how? How do you write so much or with so many writers in the system. The thing is, we don't. Not really. Most of the time it is us figuring out who is fronting the most and then they work on their project. This is why there aren't usually set dates because it's never guaranteed that an alter/writer will be out often enough to make those deadlines. Even if so, they absolutely sometimes stop writing if that demand is there because our system doesn't handle pressure or demands too well. We're working on changing that so we can better write on schedules.

  • Being Organized

The best thing that we do for each other (or Serena strong arms us into) is being very organized with all of our information. Everything is in the proper folders for documents and covers, as well as promo material. Everything is organized into two locations: the Private Discord Server and Scrivener. We have both places with writing and with lore/world-building.

  • Figuring Out Patterns

Another big part is figuring out who is fronting more often and who is the most inspired. Working with projects as the inspiration hits and making sure that we don't trigger (positive or negative) a switch so that whoever is out can work without worry.

  • Working as a Team

Following the inspiration and helping each other when one has an idea and recording that down if they aren't fronting. It's important to all of us that we are writing and staying inspired. Helping each other back up and continue, or finding ways to bring inspiration when it's lacking. It's about being a team together and working hard when one or multiple are down or struggling.

Main Working Principles

The Most Important Steps To Follow

Write When Inspired

Only write when there is inspiration. We try our best to never force the writing, no matter how long it has been since someone fronted or wrote on something. That leads to burnout faster or no one fronting anymore. We would rather it take time and success than to be blocked and unable to do anything.

Read A Lot

They say the best writers are the best readers and you can pry that saying out of our cold dead hands. We absolutely read constantly and whenever we can. The best ideas can spawn from 'What If's?'. Book, Kindle, Phone, or Fanfic... we are always reading and keeping our minds fresh.

Community

One of the best ways to keep writing is to have a community that supports you. This can be readers, writers, or even just friends that go "FUCK YEAH" when you do something new. These are the people that can help bring you back up when the brain is mean and the energy is low. We wouldn't be here writing or even have pen names or website if it wasn't for our communities and friends.
