The Emissary of Magic Series is an Academic Portal Fantasy with a Forced Chosen One trope serial set in the Sundryverse, a magical polyamorous relationship built around connections with one another. This episodic series delivers a story of a 24-year-old woman who tries to find her place as a vessel for the Goddess of Magic, while also realizing her role in the universe runs much deeper.
I started this series and the world building back around 2015, so it has been almost a decade since I began this journey with Dyani. Never in my dreams would I have thought that Dyani’s story would grow into the life it has today. Would you believe that this started out as a 3-5 book series at most? And now there’s plans for 5 books in just the first season alone!
Dyani’s story is a very deep and personal one, as most of my books are exploration of personal identity and finding place within a community. I tend to explore these areas with all the characters I end up writing.
Dyani is the main FMC, starting the series at age 24 and growing across the seasons that come out.
Britt is the main FMC at the moment but will be joined with others who will be a part of her Sundry.
This book takes place within the Sundryverse. It is a Universe that revolves around a polyamorous magical relationship. The Sundry is a deeply rooted and sacred relationship structure that balances magical needs and compatibility among the Goddess Blessed (magical sapient beings).
It provides a foundation for both healthy relationships and powerful magical connections. Each Sundry comprises an Anissive—a magical submissive figure—and their Serenaliths, also called Pillars, who embody and amplify distinct aspects of magic. In addition, there is an outer circle of specialists, known as the Coterie, known as Tethers, who lend expertise and stability to the inner group.
For this particular series, Dyani will be learning about this in the third book and within the fourth book will it play a significant role in how Emissary of Magic series functions.
